Full disclaimer - my husband was very involved with this recipe. Normally I do most (about 99%) of the recipe creation for The Kollee Kitchen - from the initial recipe idea, to the research, to the recipe development and testing. But this time, my bacon-loving husband wanted to help; and I must say, we make a great team! These wraps are super tasty, and very easy to throw together for a quick dinner. I love that the bacon and chicken strips cook at the same time in the oven making it so incredibly easy to just whip this up. You can put whatever toppings you like on your chicken bacon ranch wrap, but I loved the combination of lettuce, tomato, pickle, and cheese with the spicy ranch sauce. This chicken bacon wrap recipe is one of the best. Yum!

What goes great with a chicken wrap?

This is an easy chicken dinner, so you may wish to stick with an easy side dish as well. We often like to pair our bacon chicken wrap with a salad, like lentil feta salad, or Mexican avocado salad

Are chicken wraps with bacon healthy?

Making your own food is almost always going to be healthier than buying it; so while this isn't going to win first place in terms of healthiness it is definitely better than some other choices (like a drive-through. You can definitely do some swaps to make this as healthy as it can be, though:

  • swapping the white tortilla for a whole wheat one adds more fiber to the meal
  • using salt-reduced bacon helps control the sodium levels in this wrap
  • using a different type of sauce, like hummus or tzatztiki, or even just using a very small amount of the sauce can also help make this on the healthier side
  • loading up the vegetables, or even adding more veggies like shredded carrot, spinach, and bell pepper is a great way to make this wrap a bit healthier
  • finally, enjoying a meal as it is without worrying about the calorie count is a healthy habit to have - we strongly believe in balance and moderation when it comes to diet
bacon, chicken, and assorted toppings are rolled up in a wrap and held together with parchment paper and a decorative skewer

Step five: Once chicken is cooked, it is time to assemble the wraps. I start by layering sauce, followed by lettuce, tomato, pickle and cheese, then add my bacon and chicken. Fold one side up then roll tightly to make your wrap!

Step four: While the chicken cooks, prepare the sauce by stirring together ranch, mayo, and sriracha in a small bowl; chop the lettuce and tomatoes and grate the cheese for the toppings.

Step three: Arrange seasoned chicken strips and slices of bacon on prepared so that they lay flat and aren't too crowded, then bake in preheated oven 16-18 minutes, or until chicken and bacon are cooked through.

How to make bacon chicken wraps:

It is really quite simple to make these, and they require almost no prep time:

Step one: Preheat oven to 375 F, line a baking sheet with tin foil and set aside.

Step two: In a small bowl, combine chicken strips with olive oil, salt, pepper, and paprika and mix well

spices are shown being dumped on top of oiled chicken in a bowl
  • chicken - I like to use chicken breast in wraps - I find it holds up a bit better and is less greasy
  • seasoning and oil - a blend of salt, pepper, and paprika with olive oil is perfect in a chicken wrap with bacon
  • bacon - I like to use salt reduced bacon - there is more than enough flavor in these wraps!
  • wraps - Aside from the meat, this is arguably one of the most important ingredients!
  • sauce - we like to make a sauce for our chicken wrap using ranch dressing, mayo and sriracha
  • toppings - I like a blend of lettuce, tomato, cheese, and pickles!
